When I stepped in, I half expected to be ambushed, stabbed or worse shot. I should have put some sort of defense but by the time this thought crossed me, I was already inside. My heart seized as I saw Adeline sitting on the head of the seat unbothered and prim and proper like always. I remember the last this I heard of her---she was put in self induce coma before I told Killian to release her.
When I enter, her eyes lifted to meet mine and her bitter gaze got fixed on me. I smirked in answer.
There are many things in this world that are still a mystery to me. I have been writing since I was 15, on and off. I try to sustain myself financially while doing what I love, but to strive financially, I often lose the drive to write the stories I enjoy and love.
